Larry Neitling

Vice President and General Manager

Larry Neitling is vice president and general manager of the Grass Valley Group in Nevada City, Calif. The Grass Valley Group is one of the world leaders in the video production industry. The digital media company designs and manufactures products for television stations, post production houses, and cable companies. Major customers include CBS, NBC, ESPN and Bell Atlantic.

Neitling was vice president and general manager of Tektronix Inc.'s Grass Valley Products before the company became a private entity. Prior to joining Tektronix, Neitling was Merix Corporation's president and chief operating officer. His interconnect industry experience, quality commitment, and manufacturing management skills successfully directed Merix's operations across three sites. Prior to Merix, he held a series of managerial positions at Tektronix's Circuit Board Division.

Before he joined the Circuit Board Division in 1985, Neitling was the manufacturing manager for the Tektronix component manufacturing groups. In this role, he successfully led one of the largest and most diversified electronic components manufacturing operations in the US, with sales in excess of $250 million annually. In the late 1970's, he was one of the original members of the Tektronix Graphic Computing Systems Division.

Neitling serves as a member of the executive committee of the American Electronics Association (AEA) Oregon Council, and on the Portland State University Engineering Advisory Board.

Neitling, 52, is married and resides in Portland, Oregon. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Portland State University.
