<p>Profile is the world broadcast leader when it comes to video
servers. Profile delivers greater flexibility for moving compressed
video over networks -- you pick the format -- JPEG, MPEG-2 4:2:2 or
DVCPRO, Profile supports them all. And Profile is the cornerstone of
Grass Valley Group's vision for the future. We call it the Digital
Media Foundation -- our initiative to provide an open systems
environment for applications ranging from editing and live production
to on-air play-out. This may explain why the Profile PDR is the number
one selling server in the Broadcast market today.</p>
<p>The Profile PDR family is comprised of three products which support
all the major industry compression formats. The PDR200 with M-JPEG is a
good fit for a wide range of applications, and is especially ideal for
editing applications and solutions that require many input
channels.</p>
<p>The PDR300 with MPEG-2 4:2:2. For play to air applications nothing
beats the PDR300, with its many output channels and large storage
capacity.</p>
<p>The PDR400 with DVCPRO. If you are working with DVCPRO Acquisition
equipment, you need the PDR400. It is fully compatible with DVCPRO,
offering two ways to load material: video and fibre channel.</p>
