Kalypso Operations

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for Broadcast Engineers, Technical Directors and Editors who need operational understanding of the Kalypso Video Production Center.

Prerequisites:

Participants should possess a basic knowledge of video signals, should have basic facility video and network engineering experience; and should understand video switcher fundamentals. Knowledge of digital video is not required.

Course Content:

The course includes control panel operations for the one, two and four mix-effect Kalypso Component Production Switchers. Categories of instructions include:

• Panel Overview
• Architectural Overview
• Configurations
• External Interfacing
• Transition and Keyer Operations
• E-MEM Operations
• Disk Operations
• Still Store Operations
• Secondary M/E Fundamentals and Operations

The course will be taught using a 4-M/E Kalypso panel connected to multiple Krystal channels.
