DPM-4300 Krystal Operations Course

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for operators who wish to learn the operational features of the DPM-4300 Krystal Digital Video Effects System.

Operators should have some level of experience operating a digital video effects system of some type. Those that have prior experience with either the Kaleidoscope or the Krystal will gain the most benefit from this course, although previous experience with a DVE of any type will be helpful in understanding the concepts taught in this course.

Course Summary

This course consists of periods of lecture followed by operational exercises that are designed to demonstrate the concepts explained during the lecture. Extensive time is provided for the exercises to allow the operator to fully understand all of the operational facets of the Krystal.

Each Pair of operators share a single Krystal Control Panel to obtain hands-on experience.

Students are shown the basic product operation before getting involved with specific operational features. Each class day is approximately eight hours.

The course is structured to allow the operator to almost immediately begin building effects using the Krystal Interface. Frequent operational exercises, designed around real-world applications, and building on previously discussed concepts are provided to further the students understanding of the information presented, and guide the student to progressively master increasingly complex concepts as the course proceeds.
