Stephen Wong
Vice President, Pacific Region Sales
Stephen Wong has 28 years of experience in the television broadcast industry, the past five of which he has spent at Tektronix Video and Networking Division prior to its acquisition by the Grass Valley Group. During the latter period, he has been responsible for the company's sales in the Pacific Region.
Wong was a driving force in the transition to digital television in China; he sold the first digital video server products into China in the mid-1990s when the market was in its very early stages of conversion.
Prior to the Grass Valley Group, Wong managed the broadcast and video business for Phillips as the Managing Director of its Asia Pacific and Chinese operations. Prior to that, he held a similar position with Ampex, and before that worked for Rediffusion Television for nearly 12 years as an engineer.
Wong was born in Hong Kong, and graduated from college with a degree in Television Engineering.
